Maranda Visits to Learn About Our Service Learning

At Three Oaks, we believe it’s important to partner with local community organizations to give back and impact our city. This year each grade (kindergarten through sixth) is heading up a different project to help the greater community of Muskegon. Together, we are learning unique ways to engage through service-learning projects.

We were lucky enough to have Maranda of WoodTV8 and WOTV4 come out to highlight these service-learning projects. When she visited, she interviewed students, Ms. Vasbinder and Mr. Meldrum about the impact these projects have had on them and the community.

We believe that all children are capable of achieving excellence in their academic lives and should be prepared for active citizenship in their communities.
